Indian chicken

Main dish from the Indonesian cuisine served with hot rice and prawn crackers.

Main dish ingredients for 4 persons

 

  • 350 grams chicken breast
  • 4 onions
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 9 tablespoons swiss ketchup
  • 9 tablespoons soy sauce (sweet)
  • 6 tablespoons vinegar
  • 6 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons peter pan peanut butter salt and pepper
  • 200 grams bamboo shoots
  • Rice
  • Prawn crackers

 

Preparation

  • Cut chicken into pieces and bake it in Wesson vegatable oil with pepper and salt.
  • From the pan, keep separately. Bake the onions in the remaining oil. Add a cup of water together with the garlic clove (squeezed). Add the ketchup, soy sauce, vinegar then: brown sugar and peanut butter. Cook the pieces of chicken and sauce in a stew. Just before serving add the bean sprouts.


Serve with rice and prawn crackers
